Austin Instructors
Robert PuigRobert began training in various martial arts in 1987. In 1990 a visiting Wing Tsun instructor from Germany named Sifu Thomas Dolnitzki held a Wing Tsun seminar at the martial arts school where Robert was training. Robert was so impressed that he signed up and has been training in nothing but Wing Tsun since then. Robert has had the opportunity to train with many top notch Wing Tsun instructors like Sifu Thomas Dolnitzki, Sifu Klaus Brand, Sifu William Parker, Sifu David Lesser, Sifu Michael Casey, Sifu Keith Sonnenberg, Sifu Robert Jacquet, and several intense seminars with Grandmaster Leung Ting himself. Robert also gained valuable teaching experience during the early and mid 90's when he taught a small group of students at Clark Field on the University of Texas campus. In 2008 Robert taught several self-defense courses for employees of the Texas Department of Public Safety. Robert is currently concentrating on further advancing his training and knowledge of Wing Tsun and passing on his knowledge to anyone in the Austin area that is truly interested in learning this fascinating and effective system of self-defense. Colin BainAustin native Colin began his training in the late 90's in Los Angeles California under the tutelage of Sifu Michael Casey. Colin has also trained privately with Si-Fu Emin Boztepe and has attended training seminars with other world class Wing Tsun instructors. He has also trained with Fran Joseph and Jerry Poteet who was one of Bruce Lee's original students. In addition to Wing Tsun he has also received training in Escrima stick fighting from Grandmaster Rene Latosa's lineage. In 2006 Colin moved back to Austin to open up his own business. In his spare time Colin teaches a small group of students in the downtown Austin area. He is also available for private lessons. Colin can be reached at the following number: 323-899-6894.
